I’ve been working as a city reporter since 1997, covering every facet of city life—particularly crime, cops, courts, politics and education—for alt. weeklies in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, where I am currently senior writer at Philadelphia Magazine, one of the last city magazines in America focused on doing real journalism. To learn just a little bit more about me (I promise, just a little bit), and why I chose to call this blog The Generalist, read on.
(In the fall of 2011, I started conducting author appearances for interested book clubs. These are usually private. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.)
